[He squeezes Atsushi a little tighter before moving the beds around.]

Did you make these a lot?

I've done it a couple times here, so I'm getting better at it.

[He gets up and moves around too, helping to set it up. He'll put the extra blankets on the floor too, so they have some padding to lay on.]

[9mon]

[The plushies get added to the pile too.]

I did this with my brother and cousin sometimes.

Oh? You have a cousin too?

[9mon]

Yeah, Muku's in Summer troupe with Kazu and me.

It must be nice, to have your brother and your cousin there.

[With the fort all set up he'll go lie underneath it and cuddle with Atsushi.]

Yeah. I got into acting 'cause of Juza, but Muku helped me out a ton too. They're some of the nicest people I know.

[Cuddle time to chase away the nightmares!]

They sound nice. And your family must be pretty supportive, for all three of you to go into acting.

Yeah, they really are. Juza's always wanted to be on stage.

W3: Friday

[9mon]

[He's going to be in Amber's living room for a little while, curled up with his head in his hands.]

[moonlightbeast]

[Oh no Kumon.

Atsushi will immediately go over and sit down near him, putting his hand on Kumon's back.]

Hey, it's okay, yeah? I'm right here.

[9mon]

[He clings onto Atsushi, now that he's close.]

Two people died, a-and something happened at the stage. I was there with Kazu and we didn't hear anything.

w4: Saturday

[9mon]

[He's going in, radiating bad vibes, but trying his best to put them away.]

Atsushi?

[Soft, like he doesn't want to startle him.]

[Bad vibes are understandable.

The small realm is mostly dark, with the only light coming from a set of stained glass windows. There's no visible furniture in the room, and in fact the only detail that can be seen is the fact that the floor of this room is made from wood.

Atsushi is sitting in the center of the lit up area, with his knees drawn up to his chest.]

Hey...how are you doing?

[Kumon kinda. Went through a lot of shit today. I can't believe he found a body.]

[9mon]

I... I'll be okay.

[He is not gonna promise that because he really has no idea what's about to happen in these next couple of weeks.

Anxiety for tomorrow, the feeling of "I didn't do enough", and generalized dislike for what's going on here. He wishes none of this was happening.]

[moonlightbeast]

[Atsushi doesn't believe that, but he's smiling regardless.]

Good.

...Sorry, that I'm leaving you alone like this. But maybe Vin will let you stay with her if it gets lonely at night? And I bet Kazunari would come over if you called.

[9mon]

[He... starts tearing up. Sorrow as the primary emotion, as he reaches out, trying to hold his hand.]

I wish- I wish it wasn't like this. It wasn't your fault.

[This is fine, they can hold hands!]

...me too. I didn't want to leave you behind.

[9mon]

[It's hard. It's hard and he has no idea what to say now. He was a good roommate, he liked living with him. Their shared room was warm and cozy between the two of them and now... it's going to feel emptier. Their whole apartment will, between Atsushi and Vanille being gone.

He squeezes his hand lightly, though he can't tell who he's trying to reassure.]

This place is so cruel.

It is. But...I don't know if we were ever meant to escape it in the first place.

[The words from Shale last week, they've stuck with him. And right now, they feel suffocating.]

Stay safe, yeah? I don't want anything to happen to you.

[9mon]

There... There has to be a way.

[He's going to do his best. He's going try to find it.

What is there to lose? (Everything.)]

I'll do my best.

[But honestly... is that really up to him? With the refractions and everything else?]

[It really isn't. But Atsushi doesn't want Kumon to deal with that existential crisis.]

Good.

...there's a book on my side of the room. It's got a yellow cover and prints of leaves and sticks on the front. Do you think you could bring it here, along with one of the pens in our room?

[9mon]

[He squeezes his hand, before getting up.]

I'll be right back.

[He kind of doesn't want to leave, but he will go get it and come back.]

[It's okay it's a quick trip. And Atsushi will take the book and pen from Kumon.]

Thanks. I really want to finish it tonight, before...

[Yeah.]

[A sense of dread... Tomorrow... But he forces a soft smile.]
