[ There really hasn't been an entire execution he's watched the whole way through. He is just a normie dealing with far, far too much. ]

Week 7, Wednesday

[Atsushi doesn't know how long this little house will last, so he's making the best use of everything he has. Which means he can be found at the kotatsu, reading one of the several books that was left behind for him.

When Kumon approaches, he'll look up and smile.]

Hey! Hopefully it wasn't too bad, having the room to yourself.

[9mon]

[Takes a seat with him! A nice and cozy kotatsu even if it is approaching spring]

It was definitely better when you were there, but I did okay.

[It's fine the weather is still cold enough for it.]

I'm glad. I wish I hadn't had to leave you so suddenly like that, but...

[Well. He was refracting and couldn't give a proper goodbye.]

... Yeah, I get it. You know it wasn't your fault, right?

[All this refraction is a terrible business indeed.]

[He shakes his head.]

I never would have done it if I wasn't refracting.

This place... really sucks sometimes. But you're all you now.

Yeah. I'm all me now.

[He'll reach over to give Kumon's hand a squeeze.]

So no worries about that, yeah? We're all back to how we should be, somehow.

[He reaches back and squeezes his hand, relief flooding him.]

I heard the other side was like a quarantine... maybe it kept the refractions out?

I think it did help with that, yeah.

[But he's glad to be back now.]

So...Danny, huh?

[9mon]

Eh? Were you watching?

Uh-huh, Danny. [He's not embarrassed at all, he just didn't think Atsushi was watching him that much?]

Sometimes. Mostly at the group meetings and trials. But he did seem to miss you a lot over there too.

I missed him when he was gone... but the important thing is he's back now.

This place has been really unkind to you, but I'm glad you came out on the other side of things.
