[That's definitely something he picks up on, and he glances Atsushi's way before turning his attention back to the plant. It's easier, certainly, to have something physical and solid to focus on.]

...I think our connection was severed, here. Like how people with powers can't use 'em. Otherwise, Yasusada and I would've been able to track down where ours were ages ago. So... I dunno what that means for us, here. [That said:] If we can get his sword back to our saniwa, though, he might be able to do something about it.
[But they have no idea, and are just holding onto an optimistic hope.]
[He listens to all of this, and of course he is going to immediately latch onto the bit of hope Kashuu is offering.]
Right, okay. So we find his sword, wherever it may be, and protect him until you and Yasusada-san can take him back to your home.
[It seems straightforward enough. And Atsushi does better if he has something hopeful to hang onto, even if that hope might get crushed later. He does seem more focused and determined now, that side of Atsushi that peeked out last weekend is coming back.]
[Kashuu is also the type of person heavily influenced by the sort of energy he's surrounded by, so Atsushi's focus on that thread of hope and the determination he can see cutting just below the surface is enough to buoy his belief, too. A loss is a loss, of course, but... Well. It's more bearable, thinking of it like this.
He reaches out, gently setting a hand on Atsushi's shoulder.]
...Yeah. That's a good starting place. I think we'll both feel better once we have him back, too.
[Buzen's sword body, he means. That's a big part of his anxiety right now - not knowing where that is, or what state it's in.]
[Too bad they don't get to keep Buzen's sword body, even after they find it.
But for now, Atsushi relaxes a little and offers a small smile.]
Right. It'll be better once we find him.
[He's going to pat Kashuu on the shoulder too.]
It's okay. I know it'll be tough on you and Yasusada-san, but you can count on the rest of us to handle the tougher parts, yeah? We'll do the heavy lifting so you two can save your energy for the end.
[After they find the killer, he means. So Kashuu and Yasusada can yell their hearts out at whoever killed Buzen.]
...Thanks. We'll be doing as much work as we can too, though. He was our comrade, so it's up to us to handle the hard stuff, y'know? For us, and for him. But we'll still need all the help we can get.
