Week 0, Thursday

[Atsushi is here! At the apartment building!

...he's outside it, actually, staring up at it. Wow, so colorful.]

This is big...are we really staying here? But I wanted to go home...

[As soon as he sees Kashuu nearby though, he straightens up and tries to pretend like he wasn't just whining.]

[slashay]

[He can try to hide his whining from a peanut's prying eyes, but a peanut's eyes see many things...

Also, honestly, that's a mood. He'll lift a hand in greeting as he moseys over, looking up and up at the colorful building, too.]

Same, same. But, hey! Think of it this way - at least we won't be nasty and dirty and cold while we're looking for a way out, yeah? Now we can pool our resources better.

[Sweet optimism.]

Week 4, Saturday

[MORE WORRYING EYY but it's slightly less worrying than the last time they spoke in private.]

Things are getting worse, aren't they? I don't know how, but even the mood of a 'murder mystery' changed everything.

[WEEK 4 WE REALLY ROCKETED AHEAD IN TIME

This poor worrying lad, though... Not that Kashuu doesn't get it, he's also worried and sour that something that was supposed to be fun and cute Got Weird So Fast.]

--Well. Let's give it a little time, yeah? Things definitely got weird there for a while- [TO SAY THE LEAST.] -but putting more stock into the weirdness might give it more power or whatever. Y'know, like some of the residents say. [...] Not to say we shouldn't definitely be on our guards, though.

Week 1, Monday

[It is time for Sad Confessions!

Kashuu will be the one nearby when Atsushi gives his sad confession:]

I don't remember anything about my life before I was 8. It's all just...gone. Like it never existed in the first place.

[As soon as he says that, he blinks a few times. Wow, he sure blurted that out suddenly!]

[slashay]

[THIS IS SUCH AN ABRUPT THING that Kashuu stops on a dime where he'd been walking, having been midway through raising a hand in greeting.]

—Um. [HEWWO. This is the first time he's run into this today, hilariously, so he's truly taken off his guard. WHAT DOES HE DO WHEN A HUMAN DOES SOMETHING LIKE THIS???]

...D'you... wanna talk about it...?

[At some point after the festivities have quieted somewhat, Kashuu's going back to vibing near the apartment - in the lobby, to be precise! Almost like he's waiting for people?? Hm...

Atsushi is apparently one of the someones he May Or May Not Be Waiting for though, considering he immediately perks up whenever the lad nyooms through.]

Atsushiii! Hey, got a question - are you any good with food? Like, cooking?

[Hm. What's this?]

I can make a couple things? But if you want anything more complicated than tea and rice, I might not be the right person for it.

Week 1, Thursday

[I'm crying, we get to have two threads at once.

Atsushi is also crying, or it looks like he's close to it at least. I'm assuming Kashuu is in the medbay already taking care of Yasusada, so Atsushi is doing his best to only quietly sob on his bed. No disturbing the other patients!]

[slashay]

[OUR THREADMAGEDDON.

Anyway this is tragic. He's absolutely in the medbay!! But Yasusada's his partner and Kashuu knows how strong he is, so after a while of fussing and making sure he's alright, he's going to make his way over to Atsushi's bed because this lad looks like he could use a lot more help. He reaches out to rest a careful hand against Atsushi's back, but doesn't say anything just yet.]

[EVERYTHING HAPPENS SO MUCH HELP!!!

But at some point in the day, Kashuu's going to be tracking Atsushi down because of course he is. The lad clearly wasn't doing well the night before, and now they have a wholeass dead person on their hands. Not a surprising course of escalation, but still, hm, Bad.

The first thing he says is a simple:] You saw, right?

[EVERYTHING IS HAPPENING SO MUCH...

Atsushi is looking significantly better than he was the night before. He's still got fucked up legs and a bandaged chest and hands, but he's nowhere near as morose. Seeing that text has made him more anxious than anything though.]

I did. What happened to him? I know he was in the medbay last night, but I thought he was getting better.

Week 1, Saturday

[Never too many Cashew PCs. This one is a text though.]

[FORTUNATELY FOR ATSUSHI:]

[That was surely a lot for one Atsushi to go through.]

[KASHUU'S UP ON THE ROOF. He's in the greenhouse, specifically, pruning some plants - kinda. Mostly just removing a few dead leaves here and there with an expression that's hard to read.

Chou the pony is nearby, giving him some space. He will, however, trot over to Atsushi whenever he appears to headbutt his legs and demand pats.]

[Chou is valid.

This will also happen at least a couple hours after the notification, because Atsushi needed a bit of time to get himself together. By the time he does go anywhere, he's calmer but still a little misty-eyed.

Chou gets pats on the head, as well as a quiet 'just a moment, okay?' because someone else needs some support now too. He won't give Kashuu a headpat though, he's going to stand next to him and nudge him gently with his elbow.]

Week 2, Saturday

[Kashuu better be in the medbay getting his leg fixed up.

Regardless of where he is though, Atsushi is looking for him. And as soon as he finds Kashuu, he's going to reach out to try and pull him into a hug.]

[slashay]

[SHAKES MY PLURK NOTIFS DOWN HELPPP

But!! No he isn't it's fine though don't worry about it. He's changed his clothing at some point, so presumably his leg's been fixed up, too! That said, he definitely buckles a little on his leg when he's pulled into a hug - but seems fine with it, that aside. Buzen's blade remains had vanished at the end of trial so, y'know. A hug helps right now! When everything sucks!!

He'll return the hug after a second or two. And then, a few moments later:]

...Sorry. I didn't do a good job at the end, there.

closes my eyes im a dummy and forgot to grab this GOMEN,,, we can just do w3 weds!!! sweaty

[WELL. He's far accustomed to this tomfoolery by now, so when a bubble comes careening seemingly out of nowhere to zoop himself and Atsushi up into it when he'd just been trying to MIND HIS OWN BUSINESS AND SAY HELLO, he's. Not surprised. Tired! But not surprised.]

Oooh my god...

[The exhaustion is so tangible in this moment. But, with a sigh, like this is just routine:]

--You or me first?

It's fine, wednesday works!

[Atsushi is not surprised either but he looks kind of tired too.]

Most of mine so far have been kind of terrible. Do you want to start with bad or end with bad?

Week 3, Saturday

[It's his favorite nut-named sword!]

Kashuu-san, can I ask for your help with something?

[The nut-named sword is here! The trial was Rough but he's sure doing better than some, so he's not looking like he's in bad shape when he turns to face Atsushi.]

Mm...? Yeah, sure. What's up?

[WELL. This sure is a wild turn from where they had been just a week ago!! Kashuu is going to be visiting Atsushi later in the night, stepping through the archway into his magical jail cell. What's the digs... Where's the sir weretiger...]

[The small realm is mostly dark, with the only light coming from a set of stained glass windows. There's no visible furniture in the room, and in fact the only detail that can be seen is that there is some kind of wood floor here.

Atsushi is sitting in the center of the lit up area, with his knees drawn up to his chest. So at least it's not hard to find him?]

[He's just reaching out for Atsushi's noggin whenever they're both vibing in front of his new house together, going in for a gentle lil hair ruffle.]

Welcome back, welcome back! Have you checked out your new home yet?

[He's laughing as his hair is ruffled. So many affectionate gestures, he's loving it.]

Not yet. We could kind of see what you all were doing, but I haven't seen the finished results yet. Want to come?
