We could talk about whatever you want. If you don't wanna talk about the stuff that happened, we could talk about something else... You could tell me a little more about Yokohama, if you want.
[He just remembers that Atsushi had sounded so fond of it, before.]
[There's a little pause, and he just sighs soon after. Very like Atsushi, he thinks, to be worrying about something like that when he's on death's door.]
Who knows? I dunno how the afterlife or anything works out here, but a human spirit can carry a lotta memories with it. For better or worse.
[That's how they get cursed ghosts and haunted locations...]
If you wanna carry that stuff with you, then I'd like to think there'll be a way for you to.
[He also thinks there's a possibility Atsushi might survive the combat too, but he isn't 100% certain of it, so he doesn't mention anything. Better not get up someone's hopes.]
[His vibes aren't exactly entirely convinced or sure, but perhaps a little more certain than could be expected when this wholeass prism is still a giant question mark to all of them.]
That might be true, too. If you do... I hope you can all travel together, y'know?
[A bunch of ghosts traveling around Yokohama... It's Jujutsu Kaisen.
The vibes are a little uncertain at that, though. There's a tiny part of him that wonders if maybe the letter on the meeting hall was referencing their dead in a way, but he doesn't really want to be too hopeful, either. It's easier to think of a hypothetical situation in which their spirits just happen to meet up on the way out of here, to better places. After a beat:]
Mmm... Just tell him I said he doesn't have to worry about needing proof that he existed. And if you guys do end up crossing paths out there, watch out for each other, yeah?
[He hopes it's something like that. Hopes that it won't be lonely for Atsushi.]
[He wants to look out for everyone anyway. If he can't be the detective solving crimes and protecting everyone that way, then he'll become their guardian angel instead.]
Thank you, Kashuu-san. For everything. I won't forget it.
[Well. Of course he's going to scoot forward at that, and reach for Atsushi's hands. If he's allowed, he'll just hold them for a second.]
... [Part of him wants to say he doesn't really have anything to be thanked for, but. Eventually, he just nods.]
I wish you hadn't come here. [Because then, this wouldn't have happened. Atsushi would be alive back in Yokohama, not having to worry about dying tomorrow at the hands of someone among them.] ...But I'm glad to have met you, even then. You're a good person, Atsushi.
I wish none of us had come here. But meeting you and all the others, that's alright I think.
[Even if he's scared of tomorrow, he's still happy to have known so many good people. He hasn't felt this loved or accepted in...well, his entire life.]
[He can't find the words to explain how much that means to him, but maybe the tightening in his chest that he's sure Kashuu feels too will get that feeling across.]

Date: 2022-03-20 03:00 am (UTC)Not really. But, um. Staying here is enough?
[He's trying not to sound desperate but his emotions give him away. Please don't leave, he doesn't want to be alone.]

Date: 2022-03-20 03:30 am (UTC)Sure, yeah. I'll stay as long as you want.
[It's the least he can do for someone who might be super hella dead in less than twenty-four hours.]
...D'you wanna talk about anything?

...I promised Buzen I would remember him, you know. And that by remembering him, it would be proof that he existed.
I don't think I can do that anymore.

You think it'd be anything else? They're all memories that I'll be happy to keep.
