You mean after a trial? He did after Kazumin was voted for. I guess it just depends on how he's feeling...? That's why I try to keep an eye on him during trials, when I can.

But Kumopi... he wants to try, you know? It was the same back home - he wants to do everything that he can so badly to help everyone else. He deserves to have a chance to do that, at least, and to have someone catch him when he can't go any further on his own.
Honestly, I think that's the best that we can hope for. Being sidelined definitely won't help. He'll just get stuck in his own head about how he lets people down, or something.
I wonder if I could teach him record-keeping, so he can take the notes for us to re-read later. Then he can learn to recognize patterns from the clues, but he also doesn't have to have the firsthand experience of searching crime scenes.
