My Self-Summary

I'm a detective for the Armed Detective Agency. I'm an ability-user as well, and my ability is "Beast Beneath the Moonlight". I use it to turn into a tiger! But I don't really do it that often, because it's not that useful in my everyday life. In fact, if you see a white tiger in this place, contact Osamu Dazai immediately.

My Future Plans

Once I finish the 52 game and go home, I'm going to continue my career as a detective. It's only been a few months, but I actually like the work a lot. Even if it has long hours.

Beyond that, I guess make friends? I would like to make friends here, that would be nice.

My Talents

I can turn into a tiger? And I guess I know how to cook a little bit. I like reading so I know a lot about literature too.

Favorite Books, Movies, Music, and Food

It's so hard to pick a favorite book! But I think my favorite one is one I read as a child while hiding in the library at the orphanage. I can't remember the title, but I remember what the book looks like. I must have read it a dozen times back then.

I don't really listen to music or watch movies though. I like all food, but my absolute favorite is chazuke.

My Ideal Partner

If you plan on flirting with anyone, you're not going to have much luck. It's pretty empty.

(fingers continue typing, but not writing anything at all. it's simply a distraction as he makes his way, as if he was writing an entire book of lessons as he made his way to the other.

eventually, however, the facade drops and dazai's hands find atsushi's shoulders.)

[Atsushi jumps when he feels those hands on his shoulders, but when he hears Dazai's familiar voice he relaxes.]

You made it.

[This library is huuuuge and Atsushi had been back in one of the sections. He had thought he might have to give Dazai directions.

There is a pile of books nearby too. All of them have normal titles and look like books from their world. On the shelves there are mainly smut books with normal books mixed in. Atsushi is going through and looking for the non-smut books.]

(he typed for a really long time. of course, his eyes do glimpse around the books, as to check what is it that atsushi is trying to absorb, but-- really, nothing that will help them in this place, huh? fear not, this is what he is here for.)

Of course! Ah, Atsushi-kun, tell me, what is it you've been doing here?!

Finding books to read. It's a bit of a minefield, picking out normal books from everything else.

[Atsushi is unaware of the problems that will happen if he goes two weeks without having sex. He'll have to learn the hard way, because he's not purposefully seeking out sex yet. That one time with Dazai and Chuuya being the exception.]

(he's been enjoying this place. the smoked egg is such a little interesting spot he definitely has plans for, so he can mostly be found there. soon, to be his basis of operation. a place like this is not good for him, not when he finds himself purposeless. how to save people in a place that poses no danger as of now? he'll slack, he'll enjoy, and he'll dip his toes where it isn't great for his mental health, to take care of the two who come along with him - the power that comes with it might give them clues about a place that is too good to be true.

not that he would ever say that aloud, about his concern being of two people. it's out of that, however, that he sits, motions in grace, a smile as charming as it could be as slender fingers tap the book. it's flirting, with a velvety voice and fond stare. )

[In a way, it's Atsushi's own mental health that is being protected by these books. He's always been one to bury himself in novels when the real world is too much for him, and this place is no exception. But he's a bit too shy, a bit too awkward to explain his escapism to Dazai. So instead, he glances away and sheepishly scratches at the back of his neck.]

It's not that the other books have no value, exactly...it's just nice to find ones that are familiar.

(sweet child. the smile persists, while a hand sets softly on his knee and leans to gaze at the title atsushi had open.)

Perhaps it'd do you good to expand your literature interests.

[The book currently in his hands is "The Divine Comedy".

Atsushi glances down at that hand, then back up to Dazai.]

I think those books will only expand one specific interest.

I'd say it's in interest you should definitely start to take part in. Don't you think it's a little like self-help? You get to learn about yourself through this place.

(it will stay as the hand on the knee, a thumb caressing skin over fabric)

[He is very Aware of that caressing, and his heartbeat is picking up.]

Maybe, but I thought you were coming here to teach me that?

[He peers over the top of his book at Dazai, flashing him a rather bashful look.

He knows exactly what he's doing.]

(it's in the nuances, in the way the caress turns into a now familiar stroke. he didn't come for that, it isn't in his plans, however-- when it interests atsushi, he sure can turn his flirt on, dazai notes.)

[His breath stutters at the touch, and his eyelids flutter for a moment. This isn't exactly what he thought would happen when Dazai came to the library, but honestly? He's okay with this. It would be nice to see what Dazai does when he's not competing with Chuuya.

He keeps the book up as an attempt to hide his smile and keep up the innocent act, but the smile is reflected in his eyes too and very obvious.]

Learning is about repetition, it might take a couple lessons to remember.

[His other foot nudges against Dazai's foot in a playful manner. Maybe this is its own kind of flirting.]

(dazai's eyes are so trained for expressions, for clues, that all of his reactions are bright as day, and it makes him smile a little bit. it's good to see atsushi not so deep into his head, and while he understands that this is entirely new, the grin on the other's lips is awfully charming even as he tries to hide it. he's going to ignore the nagging question of whether atsushi is just awakening a whole different beast inside of him due to the nature of this place, or whether this is something that he had been thinking about even back home. it's easier that way - feelings and dazai are always something too complicated to bring into any sort of consideration.)

And you said you learned nothing, look at that. Seems like you have a good teacher.
