You descend into the underground escape tunnel, hurrying down the ladder as quickly as you can without just jumping down. The man you and your co-worker- Kunikida Doppo, a blonde man with glasses and a permanent frown on his face- are trying to chase down is fleeing, and you two have to hurry if you're going to have any chance of catching up.
He's not too far ahead. The tunnel is straight enough for you to still see him, even with the head start he has on the two of you. You hear Kunikida shout "It's him!" behind you, but you've already started to run.
'If I use my tiger speed, I can catch him!'
The transformation is quick, and soon your running turns into tiger-powered leaps. Your massive hands and feet propel you forward, closing the distance between yourself and the man.
Then you hear Kunikida yell out "Atsushi-kun, wait!", and right as you stop you also hear a gunshot.
You see the bullet flying towards your face. You don't have enough time to put up your arms to protect yourself.
"Atsushi-kun!"
But Kunikida's shouts aren't needed. Because instead of getting shot, you're fast enough to catch the bullet in another way.
[He is flicked! He flinched, and he immediately launches into an apology-explanation.]
I'm sorryyyyyy! But I've spent my whole life being told I'm useless and should just die already! You don't just suddenly get over that because you have powers now!
