Even if it's the truth, it's a truth I haven't heard much until recently. So hearing it said makes my chest feel warm and my heart beat a little faster.

[Atsushi that's a crush. You're describing a crush.

[oh... well, she just said they should go back, so for that reason and absolutely no other, she turns around pretty quick before he can see the look on her face.]

[Oh no, she had to take a moment to remember it.]

I would love some right now, yes.

[nodding!]

You will have to tell me if I put too much in... I've only tried it a few times, and it never tastes quite right.

Oh? How does it taste to you?

Too sweet... But maybe I am just not used to it yet. I hadn't had any before I came here.

Hot chocolate is very sweet, yes. But if you don't like sweet, there's ways to make it that get the chocolate flavor without all the sweetness.

There's a wonderful thing called 'dark chocolate', which has less sugar in it than regular chocolate.

[she is trying very hard not to look too interested and kind of succeeding.]

There's more than the standard kind and the kind with caramel...?

Most chocolates are either 'milk chocolate' or 'dark chocolate'. Dark chocolate is made of the same stuff as milk chocolate, but has more cocoa powder in it and less sugar. That makes it a little more bitter and less sweet, but still sweet enough to be tasty.

I see... It must be common where you're from, too, then.

Common enough, if you have money. Oh, but the Metallic apartment has tons of the stuff! We could bother someone from there to get chocolate.

[she nods.]

Kashuu showed me a little bit of what was in there, but I don't think he mentioned dark chocolate...

We'll have to ask him to have us both come back then. ...in a few days, when he's ready for a distraction.

[she nods, her expression shifting into a frown.]

...I am worried about him.

[moonlightbeast]

...me too.

[He squeezes her hand gently.]

But we can help him, I think.

[after a moment of thought:]

I am not as good with words as I am with action, I think. But - there is no action that can change what's happened.

[moonlightbeast]

There's not, no. Nothing will ever change what happened. But when a friend has fallen down, we can help them back up and give them a shoulder to lean on until they can walk again on their own, right?

[allomantic]

[she nods.]

Yes. But... I don't know that I'm the best person to help with something like that. I am never quite sure what to say, or that it will help.

[which isn't really intended as a dig at herself, but honesty instead.]

It's alright if you don't know what to say. Sometimes just being there is enough. And there's other things you can do, yeah? Finding what you're good at and offering that to people is a better way to do things than just looking at what you can't do.
